2020 is destined to be an extraordinary year. The epidemic has affected various industries related to international trade to varying degrees.

 

In the face of this crisis, BC Mandarin School still maintains a positive and progressive spirit. In June 2020, it was commissioned by the leaders and teachers of Sichuan International Studies University to quickly set up an online summer training camp for 36 Chinese students. Pass practical experience hand in hand.

During the training, BC Mandarin School insisted on improving the practical ability, and used scientific teaching methods to sort out the curriculum system of different courses and different levels for the students and lead the students to practice repeatedly.

While improving business ability, the curriculum system has also specially designed we media skills. Faced with unfamiliar and difficult tasks, the students faced the difficulties and actively met the challenge.

On September 6, 2020, at the closing ceremony of the training camp, teacher Chen Yang,  the teaching director of BC Mandarin School, gave a speech first, thanks to Sichuan International Studies University for its great assistance, so that the training camp was established efficiently and run smoothly. At the same time, she also gratified for the rapid progress made by the students in just two months.

 

Then, teacher Bai Wei, the head teacher, gave a speech, choked up a few times.She met with the students online regularly every week for more than 60 days to comment and answer questions, and continued to follow up on the improvement of the students. In order to give students more detailed and targeted comments, teacher Bai often still discusses homework issues with the teaching team in the middle of  night. Although only two months of getting along,teacher Bai can easily and accurately call out each student’s name, and often enlighten students with enthusiasm after class.

 

Afterwards, teacher Yuan Meng summarized the training results and attendance records of the training camp,during the camp she actively coordinated the arrangements between schools, teachers and students, and thanked the teachers and students for their cooperation and communication, so that the training camp was successfully completed.

Next, Zhang Chunxia, Li Yinghao, and Yin Xin as student representatives once again led the teachers and students to review this busy and fulfilling summer vacation. From knowing that two months were arranged to be "busy" ,they were coped with or even resisted, but then they enjoyed seeing their progress. As the last group study during the master's study period, the students deepened their understanding of each other in various courses and assignments. Everyone has a unique and sparkling style.Of course, the most practical improvement is reflected in the teaching ability. Yin Xin said she used to be uneasy in the classroom, but now were confident. The three of them expressed their gratitude from the heart to the teachers of university and BC Mandarin School.

Thanks to the deep care of the Sichuan International Studies University's leadership team with Director Zhou Wende and Teacher Huang Jinwei,the students have such a precious opportunity to learn the teaching practice content. This is a truly pragmatic and student-oriented leader who not only focuses on enhancing the professional competitiveness of students, but also has a strong sensitivity to the market needs.

 

Teacher Huang Jinwei said that the students’ homework is getting better and truly reflects the efficient and high-quality training results. In this training camp, from research to negotiation, promotion to implementation, teacher Huang has always tried his best to provide students with a learning approach to face the market. Teacher Huang said when he compared several training schools at Wudaokou nickname "Universal Center", he was moved by a sentence on the BC Mandarin School website: "The development of the majorChinese as a foreign languagealso needs the power of non-official organizations".He always feel moved by seeing how BC Mandarin School teachers guide students in terms of skills and care for they in life after class.

Subsequently, Director Zhou Wende delivered a speech for the camp. Seeing the light of maturity in the eyes of students, he couldn't help but recall the scene of his first class as a teacher. Coming from the same confusion, Director Zhou fully understands that the students are about to face the transition from student to teacher. He introduces teaching materials and teaching practice opportunities from the front market, and will continue to concentrate on researching discipline construction in the future.
