On Friday, September 30, 2022, the Cultural Tours Workshop——Temple of Heaven  held by BC Mandarin School was successfully concluded.

The theme of this cultural tour was "Chinese People and Heaven". Under the teacher's explanation, the tour members were amazed by the winter solstice light phenomenon of "the Imperial Vault of Heaven皇穹宇" and the sound phenomenon of "Echo Wall回音壁", and experienced the design of ancient people.

Different from ordinary tour guides, the teachers of BC Cultural Tours Workshop combined the knowledge of history, geography, literature and other aspects to explain the interesting design of the Temple of Heaven.

For example, we learned many secrets related to the number 9, why some emperors cannot enter the Temple of Heaven, the logo of Beijing Health Kit is related to the Temple of Heaven…… The interesting commentary attracted other visitors to follow.

At the end of the tour, we went to the south gate of the Temple of Heaven to taste a flagship Beijing mutton hotpot,which is also named for the location of the south gate.

Accompanied by delicious food and beer, teachers and members gathered together. Everyone said that it was a very beneficial day and they were looking forward to the next cultural tour.
